Nelma's Sunshine Report for July 12, 2007

1. Lannie Clemons is seriously ill in River Park Hospital, room 223. Let's keep Lannie and Mertie in our prayers.

2. Ben and Margaret Davis are doing well. They went out of town Monday night to watch their great-grandson play ball. It's exciting to watch those little fellows play ball.

3. Boyd Spry lost another brother recently. We extend sympathy to Boyd and family.

4. Martha Smartt was in Nashville last week attending the State Postal Convention. She really enjoys those conventions! While there, she saw Carey Frazier and invited him up for our picnic meeting. Martha's a busy lady!

5. Sue Smartt has had her children and grand-children visiting. Glad Sue is feeling better.

6. Barbara Scott has become a "Big Game Hunter"! Something was eating her garden, so she set a trap and she caught a "Big Raccoon"! Way to go Barbara!

7. Peggy George was down with her back the whole month of May. Thankfully she is better now, and she and Harold went to Myrtle Beach, SC, recently and had a good time.

8. Mrs. Nettie Moyers still isn't feeling very well and doesn't get out much. She is to have eye surgery again sometime this Fall. She said to ask Doug about the "Old Men" watching the "Old Cars" when they made a "pit stop" in McMinnville, and about getting his picture made!

9. Don and Lucy Morgan had their children and grand-children from out-of-state visiting for July 4th.

10. Carol Scott spent the month of May in Russia, near Moscow. Her grand-daughter's husband is from there. Carol had a lovely time. Hopefully, we can have her tell us (NARFE) about her trip and show pictures.

11. Cecil Prater sure is a proud grandpa! His grandson, who is in medical school at Duke University, has been given a full four year scholarship. Great!

12. Georgia Brooks hasn't been feeling well lately, but is feeling better now. She and husband, Frank, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family in Bell Buckle, Tenn. Congratulations!

13. W.C. Chilton has been sick, but is feeling better. He had the "Crud", and we went to the emergency room one night for a bunch of tests. He goes back in Sept. for another "Cat Scan". He's busy picking and fixing green beans.
