Nelma's Sunshine Report for May 10, 2007
1. Joe and Tommye Adams are doing very well. They have been in East Tenn. celebrating birthdays. They were visiting their daughter (Carol), her husband and grandsons.
2. Charles and Rosene Bogle are keeping busy around home, and keeping their grandchildren. Charles doesn't have time to miss the Post Office!
3. Lannie and Mertie Clemons are doing very well at present. He went to the Heart Group recently. He is battling lung cancer.
4. Ben Davis is doing very well. He found out that he is diabetic, but keeps busy with his small garden.
5. Peggy George isn't feeling very well lately. She has an inflamed nerve in her back which is giving her lots of pain. She and Harold were in Fairfield Glade recently.
6. Bill and Earldean Moffitt are in Atlanta. Their daughter and family are moving to Lookout Mt. They'll be closer to Bill and Earldean.
7. Lucy Morgan flew to Kansas recently to keep their little grandson while his parents were in Las Vegas on a business trip. Don and Lucy will drive to Maryland later this month to visit their other grandchildren and their parents.
8. Boyd Spry is a very busy man, in spite of all the many problems he has to deal with. He had a stroke a few weeks ago, but is better. His only brother is seriously ill in V.A. Hospital in Nashville. His father-in-law is in the hospital. His wife has M.S. and is now bed fast, and has to have constant care. In spite of all this, Boyd is still a busy man with the jail ministry.
9. W.C. and Nelma Chilton have been very busy lately - even today we made a trip to AEDC to stock up on groceries and cleaning supplies. Then went to Boyd Christian School to see our granddaughter (who is a senior) receive several awards, and a scholarship to Tenn. Tech. We babysit with our 16 month old grandbaby a lot. She's a "Poppy" girl! We did take a trip recently to Branson, Mo. for W.C.'s Iceland Air Force reunion. We visited friends along the way. Saw several shows in Branson. We had a very good time! Happy Spring Everyone!!
