Nelma's Sunshine Report for March 8, 2007
1. Charles Bogle recently retired from the McMinnville Post Office. The postal employees gave him a "Retirement Dinner" at Central Church fellowship room. A large number of employees and retirees and spouses were in attendance to congratulate Charlie and enjoy the dinner. Rosene says he is very busy since retirement. We all wish Charlie the best!
2. W. C. Chilton is finally feeling better after being sick for nearly a month with the "Crud". He also had blood pressure problems and heart problems which may have been caused by his medications. He went through the stress test at the Heart Group, but those seemed to be good. He's definitely feeling better because he had the garden plowed today; so that must mean that Spring is around the corner. He hadn't been able to help with military funerals lately, but he felt like helping with Mr. Bud Godwin's today.
3. Ben Davis is feeling much better after a long bout with his heart being out of rythem, and a build-up of fluid around his heart. Glad he's better!
4. Lannie Clemmons is very weak after taking chemo.
5. Harold & Peggy George are going to Daytona, Fla. on vacation and to visit Harold's brother.
6. Jim & Nancy Glenn are out of town. Jim is planning on attending the NARFE State Federation Convention in Knoxville. He's going as our Chapter Representative.
7. Doug Moyars has heart problems and had tests done recently. He and Mrs. Nettie have both had allergies, but are feeling better.
8. Sue Smartt still isn't feeling very well after surgery three weeks ago.
9. Georgia Brooks is feeling better after being out of work due to illness.
10. We're glad to have Art & Elaine Larson with us. They hail from Wyoming.
11. W. C. installed the Coffee County officers of NARFE the last of Jan. We enjoyed meeting with them at Western Sizzler Restaurant.
