Nelma's Sunshine Report for January 11, 2007
1. Joe Adams went to his doctors in Nashville last week and had good reports.
2. Ben Davis was in St. Thomas Hospital Dec. 10th through Dec. 20th with heart problems. He had fluid build up, and his heart was out of rythem. The doctors went through his mouth to shock his heart back into rythem. He's very weak yet.
3. Doug Moyers went to Rockwood, Tenn., to visit his brother-in-law who is very sick with cancer. "Miss" Nettie isn't feeling very well.
4. Don and Lucy Morgan went to Maryland for Christmas to visit their sons and families. They had an enjoyable trip and visit.
5. Cecil Prater flew to Kansas City to visit his son and family for Christmas.
6. Harold and Peggy George celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Dec. 16th at their church. They were married Dec. 15th, 1956. We wish them many more happy anniversaries.
7. Georgia Brooks has enjoyed having her daughter, Ann, and grandson, Travis, here for a visit. They live in Knoxville.
8. Carol Scott's daughter and grand-daughter were with her for Christmas. They are from Pittsburg, Pa., and Boston, Mass. Grand-daughter, Laura (who lives here), and Carol plan a trip to Moscow, Russia, in the near future. Laura's husband, Alexander, is from Russia. Carol is looking forward to the trip.
9. Barbara Scott was not able to be here tonight because she's having a medical procedure in the morning. Barbara is a proud great-grand-mother. Little Frances Adeline Nunley Norris (Addie) was born Dec. 16th. She weighed 7 lbs 7 1/2 ozs. Congratulations Babara!
10. Charles Bogle has recently retired as Post Master at the McMinnville Post Office. He's been an employee of the post office for 40 years. Congratulations and Best Wishes Charlie!
11. Jerry and Gayle Nelson have been on a cruise to Hawaii recently.
12. Boyd Spry's brother,Allen, passed away Tuesday at his home in Woodbury after an extended illness. Services will be Sat. at 1:00 at Woodbury Funeral Home. Condolances to Boyd!
13. Lannie Clemons had a treatment this afternoon. He's taking a new type of chemo.
14. Bill and Earldean Moffitt lost their daughter, Amy Kim McKinney, age 40. She lived in Orlando, Fla. Her services will be Sat. Jan. 13th in Orlando. Our sympathy goes out to Bill and Earldean!
