Lucy's Sunshine Report for September 8, 2011
1. Lilllian Baker and her sister will be going on a cruise later in the month.
2. Last week Martha Bell went to a gospel singing in Cave City, Kentucky. The Hopper and Snead Families were singing, and there was a big crowd.
3. Jim and Lenita Boyd are attending the National AACA Antique car show at Red Boiling Springs.
4. W.C. and Nelma enjoyed attending his Air Force reunion for the Jolton 799th radar site squadron in Springfield for the weekend of August 13th. On Sunday they celebrated September birthdays for 3 of their grandchildren.
5. Mertie enyoyed a short visit from her son Larry who lives in Virginia. We offer condolences to her on the loss of her brother-in-law, J. C. Clemons.
6. Peggy and Harold have been on trips to Nashville and Fairfield Glade.
7. Jim and Nancy will be going to Chicago at the end of the month for an early anniversary celebration.
8. Margaret was visiting her daughter and family in Hamilton Square, New Jersey, during the recent earthquake and hurricane. The weather caused them to have to detour going to the airport, but she enjoyed the visit with her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
9. Art and Elain celebrated their 50th anniversary in August at a family reunion that included four generations of their family. They also attended the Blue Grass Festival at Dollywood.
10. Doug said that if he isn't here he will be home listening to the President's speech to Congress.
11. Carol Scott is visiting her daughter in Pittsburg.
12. Bill Moffitt has been really sick. He had surgery, but is feeling a bit better.
