Nelma's Sunshine Report for November 9, 2006

1. Cecil Prater flew to Kansas City, Ks., recently to be with his son who had surgery. He's doing well and is back at work.

2. Joe and Tommye Adams have been in Johnson City, Tn., to celebrate "Grandparent's Day" with their two grandsons. Joe is doing well at present.

3. Harold and Peggy George are going to Gatlingburg on Nov. 11th for a few days. They were in Fairfield in Crossville recently and in Rugby, Tenn. to see the leaves. Rugby is a small historical town in N. E. Tenn.

4. Ben Davis is still having shoulder trouble from his lawn mower accident in Aug. The doctor has dismissed him, but he's not to do any lifting for awhile.

5. Jim and Nancy Glenn have gone to Nashville tonight for a book signing of a friend.

6. Rawlin Jernigan is to have surgery on his left eye in Dec. A cornea transplant. He keeps busy with his grand children and the "Jail Ministry". He and his son went to Va. to a funeral, but returned in time for our meeting.

7. Nettie Moyers fell a few weeks ago, and spent three (3) weeks in the hospital in rehab. Thankfully, she had no broken bones. She's still weak.

8. Lannie Clemons had his 2nd Chemo treatment today. He keeps busy playing golf, going out to eat, etc. They went to Nashville recently to see a 7 year old grandson play hockey. Let's keep Lannie and Mertie in our prayers as he takes treatments.

9. Charles and Rosene Bogle's grandchildren have been sick with a virus, but are better. Charlie is looking forward to retiring from the Post Office.

10. Don and Lucy Morgan have been in Wichita, Kansas, baby sitting their 3 year old grandson while his parents were on vacation in Aruba. They are still doing some remodeling on their new house. They're looking forward to having children and grandchildren visiting for Thanksgiving.

11. Martha Smartt attended a Post Masters meeting at Paris Landing State Park a few weeks ago.

12. Sue Smartt keeps busy. She volunteers at the High School teaching Special Ed Kids - VIZER.

13. Boyd Spry is very busy with the Jail Ministry Program - especially with correspondence courses. He has a foot that is giving him trouble. Boyd's wife has MS and is very ill.

14. Carol Scott lost her father recently - Mr. Clyde Winters.

15. Barbara Scott is excited - she's expecting a great-grandbaby in Dec.

16. Jerry and Gale Nelson are on a cruise.

17. W.C. and Nelma Chilton were in Livingston, Tn., a couple of weeks ago touring historical cemeteries. The Chilton family descended from that area. Nelma had hernia surgery Sept. 19 - will have lazer on left eye soon.
