Lucy's Sunshine Report for January 14, 2010
1. Jim and Nancy Glenn are at the Nashville airport to meet her son and his wife from New Hampshire. They will be visiting with Jim and Nancy for a few days.
2. We offer our sympathy to Nelma who lost two brothers recently. Both died during the same week in November.
3. W.C. was in the hospital November 15th for a few days with pneumonia.
4. Martha Bell, her mother, her brother, and their families got together in Maryville December 13th for a family reunion. Martha, her children, and their families got together the day after Christmas.
5. Harold and Peggy George, their daughter and son in law spent a couple of days in Nashville after Christmas shopping for after-Christmas bargains.
6. Art and Elaine Larson went to the NASCAR race in Homestead, FL in November to see their grandson race. They also visited with their nieces, and nephews. Their grandson, Justin, won the NASCAR Nationwide Series "Rookie of the Year". Their daughter, son in law, and 2 granddaughters came from Wyoming to spend Christmas with them.
7. Carol Scott is at her 1949 class reunion tonight at Andy's Restaurant.
8. Sue Smartt was in Knoxville December 13 to see her granddaughter graduate.
9. Nettie Moyers is the same, and Doug says that he's still getting around okay.
10. Boyd Spry's wife had surgery on Tuesday, and is recovering at home. She has had MS for 36 years, and is also a diabetic.
11. Lillian Baker is feeling better now, but had "painful" Shingles for five weeks after her knee surgery. Those of us who haven't had the Shingles vaccine might want to think about getting it.
12. Don and I spent Christmas and the New Year with two of our sons, and their families in Maryland.
