Nelma's Sunshine Report for May 08, 2008
1. Joe and Tommye Adams are both still not doing real well. Tommye is sick from the chemo that she's taking. Joe has his kidney stints out today. We wish them both well.
2. Carol Scott is seriously ill in Pittsburg, PA. She went to visit her daughter, Beth, while Laura and Alexander were out of the country. Alexander's father passed away in Russia recently. Carol got sick and had to go to the hospital. She's had two surgeries. She is doing better, but still in hospital for at least another week or so. I have her cell number and address if anyone wants it.
3. Martha Smartt had cateract surgery today.
4. Sue Smartt is doing better with her broken shoulder, but still taking therapy; not able to drive yet.
5. Harold and Peggy George are attending a dinner meeting tonight at their church.
6. Mertie Clemons has been in the hospital recently. Glad she's doing better.
7. Ben and Margerat Davis have a house full of out-of-town company from Texas and New Jersey.
8. Doug Moyers has a pulled tendon in his wrist, so he has a very sore wrist. Mrs. Nellie is pretty well confined to a wheelchair and doesn't get out much.
9. Bill and Earldean Moffitt are in Chattanooga at a grand-child's graduation.
10. Charles Bogle is speaking at the "jail" tonight for their ministry. They both keep busy.
11. Art and Elaine Larson have been in Rockingham, NC, for the races. They have a grandson who races. They met some big name racers there. On the way back, they stopped at Dolly Wood. They will be leaving soon for a trip out west. They'll be attending a grand-daughter's graduation, and then visiting other relatives and friends and places they haven't seen in a long time. Sounds like they'll have a great vacation.
12. W.C. Chilton has been fishing a lot lately. He and a friend have caught a lot of fish. He loves fishing.
13. Remember me, Nelma, as I'll be having some tests and also surgery later this month.
