Nelma's Sunshine Report for March 13, 2008

1. Tommye Adams had breast surgery today. The report I received was good - the doctor said everything went well and she may get to come home tomorrow. Joe has to have surgery Friday (next week) to have stints put back in for his kidneys like he had before. Let's all remember Joe and Tommye in our prayers and with cards.

2. Lillian Baker is busy-busy with "Mail Count" at Walling Post Office.

3. Martha Bell's brother is seriously ill.

4. Georgia Brooks is slowly improving and is feeling better. She's fighting a battle with cancer and has a long way to go. She loves getting cards, so if you will, sent her a card at 353 Brooks Dr.

5. W.C. Chilton still coughs a lot, but is doing better.

6. Mertie Clemons has been sick with the "Crud" for several weeks; glad she's feeling better.

7. Margaret Davis's sister and husband from Florida will be coming to spend a week with Ben and Margaret. Their nephew will be graduating from UT in May. They will be attending those services.

8. Harold and Peggy George spent a week in Daytona, Florida, for vacation and to visit Harold's brother.

9. Jim and Nancy Glenn have gone to Florida to see their new granddaughter, Sarah Nichole Glenn. She was just born a few days ago - she weighed 8 pounds. They also plan to see the (SEC) games in Atlanta. Jim still plans to attend the Federation Convention at Montgomery Bell State Park in April.

10. Judy Argo's sister, Bonnie Norris, died recently in Akin, S.C.

11. Barbara Scott has a lot of sickness in her family. Her daughter, who has MS, has fallen several times lately.

12. We're so glad Joe Spain is feeling better.

13. Art and Elaine Larson are very busy lately. Art is back to writing his race column in the Southern Standard on Fridays. Elaine was on the internet recently where people called and made comments or asked questions about the Army. They have asked her about having her program - "Ask Elaine". They both attended a concert (The Irish Chieftans) at the Nashville Symphony Center recently. They are very proud of their granddaughter in Wyoming. Her high school cheerleading team won the state championship.
