Nelma's Sunshine Report for September 6, 2007
1. Ben & Margaret Davis attended their granddaughter's wedding in Philidelphia, PA, recently. They have four generations of their family.
2. Martha Smartt has attended family reunions lately. The Smartt reunion was held in Chattanooga this year. The Morton reunion was in Manchester.
3. Sue Smartt is having some remodeling done.
4. Joe & Tommye Adams have had their grandsons here - camping out. Two live in East Tenn. One here.
5. Don & Lucy Morgan have enjoyed family reunions lately. One was in Paris Landing, TN, and the others at Monteagle, TN. They spent four days recently in Sevierville, Tenn., with friends from Georgia.
6. Harold & Peggy George plan to spend a few days in Gatlingburg soon, and also at Fairfield Village. Their youngest grandson (Steven) has started college at Tenn. Tech.
7. Jim & Nancy Glenn are excited about a second grandbaby who is due in March. They're hoping for a girl this time.
8. Art & Elaine Larson have attended races (car) all over the States lately. Art is the race car sports writer for the Southern Standard. If you haven't been reading his column, be sure to look him up - his picture is there and his writings are interesting.
9. Martha Bell had knee surgery five weeks ago. She's doing very well and hopes to be at our next meeting.
10. Elsie Newby has been on vacation from the Post Office this week.
11. W.C. & Nelma Chilton were in Springfield, Tenn., Aug. 24-26 attending an Air Force reunion. We had a good time. We have a granddaughter who just started college at Tenn. Tech.
12. We were all saddened at the loss of our Lannie Clemons a few weeks ago (July 27). Our sympathy to Mertie! Then, Wednesday, Lannie's mother (100 years old) passed away.
